Return on Investment (ROI) MeTER

The Meter ROI project has two aims; one is establishing specific measurements for determining a return on investment (ROI) for the MeTER system as it currently exists at a U.S. Army Medical and Simulation Training Center (MSTC) and two, installing a MeTER system to assess the training needs of the Flight Medic Course (FMC) at the U.S. Army School of Aviation Medicine (USASAM). The outcomes of this project will generate quantitative and qualitative data derived from surveys, interviews, and pre and post-test MeTER data analysis, generating justification for the initial investment of the system. Utilizing the data correlations derived from cognitive and psychomotor learning domain evaluations, USASAM will establish a cut score for entry into the FMC that will have a statistically significant increase on graduation rates.

An option to the program has been awarded enabling ROI data to be gathered from both sites to increase the population of the study. USASAM, being the first aviation instantiation of the system, will undergo some curricular development to specialize the system to their diverse training needs.
